چکیده

A controller for a real-life system G0 is usually designed on the basis of a model Ĝ of G0 identified using data collected from the true system. When designing the identification experiment, the control engineer often has to make a trade-off between her/his desire of obtaining an accurate model and the economical constraint of keeping the experimental costs low. Obtaining an accurate model requires a long identification experiment and a powerful input signal, while keeping the experimental costs low corresponds to a short experiment time and the excitation of G0 with a low power signal.

Least Disturbing Closed-loop Identification Experiment for Control

This paper presents results on closed-loop identification experiment design for control. The objective is to design the least costly closed-loop identification experiment such that the controller designed with the identified model stabilizes and achieves a prescribed level of H∞ performance with the unknown true system. Design of least costly identification experiments : The main philosophy accompanied by illustrative examples

The goal of this paper is on the one hand to give a tutorial on the main ideas of a recently introduced paradigm for optimal experiment design whose objective is to design the least costly identification experiment while guaranteeing a sufficiently accurate model for e.g. control. On the other hand, the second goal is to illustrate with well chosen examples the advantages of designing optimally...

Semi-receding horizon algorithm for "sufficiently exciting" MPC with adaptive search step

In this paper, the task of finding an algorithm providing sufficiently excited data within the MPC framework is tackled. Such algorithm is expected to take action only when the re-identification is needed and it shall be used as the “least costly” closed loop identification experiment for MPC. The already existing approach based on maximization of the smallest eigenvalue of the information matr...

Molecular approaches for detection and identification of foodborne pathogens

Foodborne pathogens comprise microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria and parasites that can be transmitted by food and affect public health worldwide. The most common viruses transmitted via food are hepatitis A virus and Norwalk-like caliciviruses. Also, the most common bacteria involved in foodborne illnesses are Campylobacter jejuni, Clostridium perfringens, Salmonella spp, Escherichia...
